If you're reading this wondering if you should get a Mohawk, the answer is yes and right now. Whether you're male or female, there are plenty of reasons why you should give this classic, rebellious cut a go. If you have tattoos or piercings, even better. It'll only further accentuate the hair.
In this post, we're going to look at five massive reasons you should get a Mohawk this year.
1) It's time-tested.

If you go back to the origins of punk in the late 70s and early 80s, you're likely to find plenty of Mohawks along the way. These stylish haircuts were used to rebel against the norms at the time, with plenty of Mohawks stretching up to nearly a foot high. Even things like eggs were used to achieve this height, which is as gross as it is interesting.
To get the sides just right, you're going to need a good shaving machine. Cheap clippers won't do it, you need something battle-tested. Once you've gotten rid of that pesky side hair, you're ready to go.

As long as you have that Mohawk going, you're going to be making a statement. In order to make sure you're healthy while making that statement, you can try something like reverse hair washing. This is where you literally take all of the steps for your normal hair washing routine and simply reverse them so that you condition your hair before shampooing it. What this does is it washes out all the conditioner that usually gets caught in your hair and ends up weighing it down.
Once you've gotten your hair nice and clean and gelled up, you'll be making a personal statement and sticking it to the man. You'll be saying I reject your "normal" hairstyles and substitute it with one of my own. It's good to be proud of your cut.
